Rescue Flight “Tom Petty”

When a hound comes into the ABTCR system it is given a temporary foster name that furever parents can change. Here “Tom Petty” got his flight to freedom.

Pulled from a shelter, completely shut down, terrified of everything and every noise yet so gentle and loving, seeking out people and interacting well.

I posted a quickly edited short video (3 min) last week.

This is the complete story (7 min)

This was a 3 leg rescue flight on Oct 22nd & 25th 2017. I flew the first two legs (Hatteras Island, NC to Richmond, VA then Westminster, MD) on Oct 22nd. Tom Petty then got to spend a couple days with me before a friend of mine flew his instrument currency flight from Westminster, MD to Atlantic City, NJ and I sat right seat as the required safety pilot on Oct 25th 2017.
